Troop 34 belongs to the Bay Trails District of the Michigan Crossroads Council, under the direction of the President Ford Field Service Council. It was chartered by the First Congregational Church of Traverse City, Michigan on February 1, 1965, and has been a thriving, active Boy Scout troop ever since.
Troop 34 participates in summer camp, the Klondike Derby, and various camp outs throughout the year, including a winter trip to Long Island in Long Lake. Recent troop service projects include tree planting on the Old Mission Peninsula, Old Mission State Park clean-up, and Projects at Pelizzari natural area.
